Livermore Valley VFW Honors Scout of the Year

Livermore Valley VFW Post 7265 selected Eagle Scout John Mario Molitoris as their Scout of the Year Candidate for 2019. Molitoris received a VFW Scout of the Year Medal, Certificate and a $500 Scholarship. John Mario is a member of Livermore BSA Troop 942 sponsored by St. Charles Borromeo Parish. He plans to use his scholarship towards his studies at Cornell University, which he will be attending this fall.

Post candidates vie in the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Scout of the Year Program for a 1st place National Scholarship of $5,000. National scholarships are also awarded for 2nd ($3,000) and 3rd place ($1,000).
