On Sunday, May 12 in Livermore, the Muslim Community will host an Iftar dinner experience as part of the observation of the holy month of Ramadan. The goal is to help create a peaceful society by building new relationships around the traditions of fasting and hospitality in the three major Abrahamic faiths along the theme "Loving Across the Difference."

Iftar means 'fast-breaking,' and it is an integral part of the Muslim community life during the sacred month of Ramadan. Muslims break their daily Ramadan fast with a community dinner called an “iftar.”
