Favalora Vineyard Winery will join the remarkable tasting rooms in the Vasco Road corridor. These industrialistas provide a warm and pleasing experience in unusual sites. Owner/winemaker Frank Favalora now owns both a vineyard and a winery, sharing production space with Ehrenberg Cellars. He will soon share the tasting room, which is a down home space with the barrels right there behind the tasting bar.

The preponderance of Favalora Vineyard Winery grapes are grown in Favalora Vineyard in the sandy soil of Oakley, an ideal terroir for Zinfandel. Other varieties also thrive there. Winemaker/owner Frank Favalora is a son of The Delta who grew up in Antioch—neighboring Oakley. “… I did a lot of four wheelin’ on Oakley sand dunes before they were all ruined for housing,” said Frank. Spoken like a man of the soil. An amiable backyard kind of guy, he looks as though he would be comfortable in cowboy boots. “I did ride horses,” said Frank.
