Quarry Lane Student Named California National Geographic State Bee Semifinalist

Quarry Lane School (QLS) Quarry Lane student Rhea Mitr has been notified by the National Geographic Society that she is one of the semifinalists eligible to compete in the 2015 California National Geographic State Bee. The competition will be held at the California State University Fresno on Friday, March 27th, 2015.

Rhea, who won has won third place at the state finals for the second consecutive year in 2014, is the Quarry Lane School’s All-School Geography Bee winner. She took the state qualifying test in early February. The National Geographic Society selects the top 100 test scorers in each state and invites them to participate in the state bee competitions.
