By Independent News

Juliette Goodrich, the weekday noon anchor at TV Channel 5, has written a book about the world's longest burning lightbulb entitled, "The Little Light Shines Bright."

The lightbulb, located at Fire Station 6 in Livermore, will celebrate its 108th birthday next year.

Goodrich said she was inspired to write the book after she emceed the light's 100th birthday celebration in 2001.

"I have three children. They have all visited Fire Station 6 with me. In fact, my 8 year old helped me with some of the concepts for the book like including a dog in the firehouse and a fire pole," said Goodrich.

The book contains illustrations and a story line along with actual photos and history of the light at Fire Station 6. There is also a timeline in the book showing all of the history making events and inventions that happened throughout the light’s lifetime.

A portion of the book proceeds will go to local schools to fund reading and writing programs and to the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation, an organization dedicated to burn survivors and burn prevention.

There will be a book signing from 2 to 4 p.m. on November 29th at Barnes and Noble in Dublin. It will be a fund-raiser for local schools.
