We’re excited about the initiative filed by “Citizens for a Livermore Central Park.” Livermore will get to vote for a better downtown plan, and we’ll finally know for sure what the citizens want.

Livermore has a long history of smart growth planned by visionary advocates who respected the importance of open space. When we compare Livermore’s hills with the dense development of neighboring communities and when we enjoy the carefully-preserved agricultural land and open space around Livermore, we see the wise legacy of their planning.
