She is homeless and unsheltered in Livermore. Six years she has been this way in the Tri-Valley. Her health is poor and declining. She has everything in a basket-cart and sleeps where she can and where she thinks is best, though the predators steal from what little she has anyway on a regular basis.

There is no place for her. The “Culture of Contentment” (book by the late economist John Kenneth Galbraith) is satisfied by helping a few others. Some battered women get a bed and a few women with children have priority at the local shelters. A single woman alone out there gets little more than the streets.
