Russells Honored for Conserving Ranchland

A retired Livermore schoolteacher and her husband have been named Conservationists of the Year by the California Rangeland Trust for protecting more than 5,200 acres of rangeland in its natural state.

The couple are Marilyn and Jerry Russell. Marilyn taught field biology at Livermore High School, while Jerry worked as an engineer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
