A story in the Dec. 27 issue of The Independent referred to a revival of Sen. Scott Wiener’s bill SB 827 from the Legislature’s last session. The bill number has been changed to SB 50. The bill states that local government might have to give density bonuses to developers who meet certain requirements. Any density bonuses would be available near transit and bus corridors, as was true of SB 827.

The story said the bill would mandate 5-story buildings in transportation corridors, but story heights are not mentioned in the bill.
