Marie was one of eight children born to Margaret and Manuel Rogers. She lived in Livermore her entire life and married Joe Ott, a young sailor from Missouri, in 1943. She was a lifelong member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, participating in many activities and groups over the years, including the Altar Society, the Medjugorje Prayer Group and Ladies of the Knights. Marie was a homemaker her entire life and loved sewing, knitting, crocheting and crafts of all kinds. In later years she loved traveling to casinos on the "senior bus" as well as going to plays and musicals with a group of friends. She passed away peacefully on April 30, 2019 with her daughter by her side.

Marie is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Joe, her son Dale, her nephew John and her brothers and sister. She is survived by her daughter, Janice of Sacramento, her daughter-in-law Cynthia of Hawaii and numerous nieces and nephews.
