The Phantoms U14 Black kick-started the weekend against the Fremont Spartans. From the first face off the Phantoms had this game in control as the offense and defense were firing on all cylinders. Multiple goals were scored by Anders Bostrom (#2), Ben Wojewski (#17), Nick Swartzendruber (#37), Luke Bauer (#53), Quin Wetzel (72), Aiden Andre (#84), and Josh Gnoval (#98). Single goals were scored by Luke Leary (#13) and Dom Gozzo (#56). With a great offense, Andrew Kramar (#8) was relieved of goalie duties by Ryan Gill (#73) in the 3rd and 4th periods, which allowed Andrew to score his first goal of the year. Jake Salhoff (#34) and Kalel Disu (#7) each had assists. Phantoms cruised to 20-1 victory as they set their sights on their next opponent.

The Phantoms' game on Sunday was against the Pleasanton Thunder and was a rumbler from the start. The Phantoms' L. Leary scored the first goal of the game, but the Thunder responded and kept the Phantoms on their heels throughout the first half. Defensive players Justin Wallace (#82), A. Kramar, Sam Butler (#15), combined with defensive middie Alex Operin (#51) did their best to quiet the Thunder, but the attacks were frequent and relentless. The Phantoms came out a bit more aggressive in the 2nd half as they tried to come back. But in the end, the Thunder were too much for the Phantoms as they were handed their first loss of the season 13-7. Other goals were scored by A. Andre, J. Gnoval, and B. Wojewski.
