More than 30 Livermore Valley wineries will be participating in the 12th annual Barrel Tasting Weekend, March 21-22.
Participants will have an opportunity to meet the winemakers, sample wines still in development, right out of the barrel, and purchase future bottles of finished wine. Along the way, they will be able to view wine barrels transformed into works of art at various wineries for the annual Painted Barrel Trail, with an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to win a hand-painted barrel and a case of wine.
Garré Café will offer brunch at the Martinelli Center, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Tickets purchased in advance are $45, and include entrance into participating wineries, breweries, and distilleries; at least two tastings of a barrel wine, spirit, or brew at each winery; a Livermore Valley Wine Country commemorative glass; discounts and a program. Tickets purchased the day of the event are $55. Tickets are available at www.lvwine.org, or from a participating Livermore Valley winery.
