The Livermore chapter of the National Charity League is recognizing 11 graduating high school seniors for contributing nearly 1200 hours of volunteer work over the last six years.
The chapter’s senior class includes Phoebe Omweg, Alyssa Fuller, Taylor Sprott, Cleo Grimes, Sara Morris, Katie Ottman, Jackie Fenner, Sabrina Pertica, Amanda Shingler, Carmen Cortez, and Ella King.
As a senior class project this year, they made garden signs and wind chimes for the sensory garden at Sunflower Hill, a nonprofit organization that works with adults with disabilities.
The National Charity League brings together mothers and daughters to participate in a 6-year program of philanthropic work, leadership and cultural events. The Livermore chapter currently has 220 members who volunteer with more 30 philanthropic organizations.
This is the second class of seniors involved with the Livermore chapter to graduate.
