The schedule for the Livermore-Amador Symphony Association’s 47th Competition for Young Musicians has been announced.

The application deadline is Sunday, September 8, 2019. (Applications will be accepted starting September 5, 2019.)

The competition is open to instrumentalists and vocalists who reside in Alameda County, Contra Costa County, the city of Tracy, or the community of Mountain House. The selection, one movement of a concerto, should have the minimum length of about 10 minutes. All instruments will be considered.

Students are eligible through the age of 19 (being 19 at the time of concert performance February 22, 2020).

The purpose is to select two young musicians who will perform as soloists with the symphony on February 22, 2020 in the Bankhead Theater in Livermore. Each winner/soloist will be awarded $500.
