Wine, yoga, and live jazz come together for a good cause at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, when Concannon Vineyard hosts "Yoga on the Vineyard Lawn" to raise money for Element 116, a jazz band made up of Livermore middle and high school students. The Livermore Valley Education Foundation (LVEF) sponsors Element 116.
"Yoga on the Vineyard Lawn" is sponsored by Dragonfly Yoga & Wellness. The evening kicks off with an all-levels Yoga class from 6 to 7 p.m. on the Concannon lawn, taught by Dragonfly co-owner Suzanna Spring.
"We have loved partnering with Concannon Vineyard for Yoga on the Vineyard Lawn," said Spring. "So many people--new to yoga, or experienced practitioners--look forward to practicing outdoors with us in this beautiful setting. Dragonfly Yoga is delighted to collaborate with LVEF in helping our community's young musicians receive the resources they need to continue to grow their musical gifts."
No prior Yoga experience is necessary. Yoga mats will be provided. Following the class, Element 116 will perform a 30 minute set in the Concannon tasting room. Tickets are $25 and include wine tasting and refreshments. Dragonfly will donate the event proceeds to Element 116's scholarship program.
