Weekend Ranger-Led Nature Programs are FREE drop-in programs for all ages with no RSVP required. *Select programs may request RSVP or require a small fee that can be paid to the Ranger at the time of the program. Children ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Call the Ranger Office at 925-960-2400 for information.

Do the Polar Bear Slide at the Robert Livermore Aquatics Center and take a chilly ride down the water slide. The Polar Bear Slide is a fun FREE, all ages, family event and no registration is required. Participants MUST be at least 48” to go down the water slide. After the slide, participants will enjoy hot cocoa and bragging rights that they took the plunge despite chilly winter temperatures.


Morning Meander

Start the new year off right and take a morning walk in the park! We'll check out interesting plants along the way and, fingers crossed, we'll see some cool critters. Cancelled if heavily raining.


Winter Birds

Bundle up for the cold and join Ranger Eric for a 1.5-mile bird walk along the creek to look for our winter residents. Binoculars are available to borrow. Cancelled if raining.
