Livermore Area Recreation and Park District has scheduled a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand re-opening of May Nissen Park, 685 Rincon Avenue, for Wednesday, December 18 at 2 p.m.
For the past several months, the 1.88-acre May Nissen Park, located at 685 Rincon Avenue, has gone through a tremendous renovation and will, once again, be open to the public. This large community park has been re-designed to incorporate a whimsical, storybook theme with a custom fairy tale playground; Jack-and-the-Beanstalk walking path with oversized leaf-shaped art, large overhead flower shade structures and flower lighting, nature-themed play equipment, low seat walls, outdoor reading spaces, and areas for creative and dramatic play; and a new accessible restrooms. May Nissen Park will be a place for children and adults alike to come and to create and imagine their own unique play space as they recreate, socialize, explore, learn, and play.
Everyone is welcome to join the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District Board of Directors, staff, and community members as they enjoy hot cocoa and celebrate the grand re-opening of May Nissen Park.
