The Bay East Association of REALTORS® Young Professional Network (YPN) teamed up with the Alameda County Food Bank to support their mission of pursuing a hunger-free community.

On March 26, Bay East YPN and other Bay East REALTOR® and Affiliate members, joined other volunteers to sort and pack almost 21,000 pounds of fruit and vegetables. Their effort will enable the Food Bank to distribute 17,000 meals.

“Pursuing a hunger-free community is a huge movement that is possible with the help of a supportive community and group of volunteers coming together to help make a difference,” said Alex Kim, Chair of the YPN Give Back event. “Giving back has always been a part of my life since I was young. I feel that every time I do something positive for others, the favor is returned in some way or some form,” said Kim.

The Alameda County Community Food Bank works with more than 18,000 volunteers every year to ensure that all children, adults and seniors in Alameda County always have access to a free meal.

The Bay East YPN Committee is the voice and advocate for Bay East’s young REALTORS® and Affiliates. They support the development of young real estate professionals through association participation, career advancement, community involvement, and cultivation of future leaders.
