In an effort to help the local community, the Mony Nop Real Estate Team in Livermore is launching a program called the “Mony Nop Grocery Drop.”

Each week, the team will donate a $100 grocery card to a needy families who will be chosen during a live Facebook drawing. Mony Nop, owner of Mony Nop Real Estate, has been contributing to the community for years, and when the pandemic created new hardships for many families, he decided to develop a program to help.

“Food is one of the greatest needs in our community,” Nop said. “We want to create a full circle in giving to support the families in need within our community as well as to support local restaurants that are also struggling during this time.”

The public can participate in the program by nominating a family who may be hurting financially. Nominations can be sent via private Facebook message to Mony Nop. The names of recipients will not be announced if requested to remain anonymous.

Donations toward the cause can be given on a GoFundMe page, with 100% of the proceeds going to the chosen families. The GoFundMe Page for donations and more information can be found at gofundme.com/f/mony-nop-grocery-drop. Donors will be placed into a drawing for a $100 gift card to a local restaurant of their choice.

The team has already committed to the program, allowing them to match donations, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $3,000. If more funds are raised, more money will be given away each week.

“We are so grateful for all of your support to create this giving back loop and look forward to making a positive impact alongside all of you within our community,” Nop said.
