The Goodguys Summer Get-Together will take place June 1 and 2 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. The event is a summertime gathering of over 2,500 candy colored and chromed hot rods, customs, classics, muscle cars, and trucks of all years.

The event will include vendor exhibits, a swap meet, cars for sale, entertainment, Nitro Thunderfest dragster exhibition, and food.

The Cruiser-Rama exhibit, coordinated by Behind Bars Inc. from San Jose, will display over 30 custom bicycles. See an array of custom, one of a kind, bicycles of all shapes, colors, and sizes. The bikes are predominantly handmade, custom painted and chrome plated.

Competitors in the Goodguys Muscle Car AutoCross Shootout, presented by Spectre Performance, will take to the AutoCross track. The top eight drivers in PRO and PRO-X will square off against each other. The top eight in Truck, Street Machine and Hot Rod will race in the Shootout. Qualifying will begin on Saturday at 8 am and run all day, with the final qualifying runs held on Sunday at 1 pm. The runoffs will start at 3 pm. The winner of each eight-car shootout will compete in Scottsdale, AZ at the Goodguys Southwest Nationals in November.

All registered show particpants are eligible to compete in the Burnout Contest. The burnout contest will be staged on a freshly poured concrete pad in the festival lot, which is near the car corral. To participate, head to the festival lot area and get teched-in beginning Saturday at 11:30 am. The competition starts at 12:30 pm. The winner will be determined by crowd response.

The midway will feature multi-million-dollar custom big rig tractor trailers offering high-performance parts and accessories to budding hot rodders and do-it-yourselfers. A giant used car parts swap meet and the Auto Trader Classics car corral are also planned.

For the kids, a model car program sponsored by Auto World Store will offer kids a model kit. A coloring contest, arts and crafts, games and other fun kid activities are arranged.
