The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District is offering two weekend ranger-led nature programs for all ages this month. The programs are free, but may require an RSVP. Children ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, call the Ranger Office at (925) 960-2400.

Join Ranger Amy and the Bay Area Mycological Society for its annual Sycamore Grove Park mushroom hunt. Mushroom hunters will crawl under trees, wander through meadows, and look at rotting logs to see how many different types of fungi they can find. Please remember that mushroom hunters may take lots of photos, but mushrooms may not be removed from the park. This event will happen rain or shine at the Sycamore Grove Park, Reservable Picnic Area
Nature Scavenger Hunt

Join Ranger Dawn for a nature-themed scavenger hunt at Sycamore Grove Park, 5049 Arroyo Rd. Scavengers will be given clues and a bag and sent on their way. Once everyone has finished searching, they will gather to talk about the items they found. Prizes will be awarded. Cancelled if raining. Please RSVP by calling (925) 960-2400.
