Livermore Wine Auction, Sept. 29, 5-8pm
If you’ve never attended this lively fundraiser, you owe it to yourself to buy a ticket to one of the Valley’s truly top-notch affairs. The annual Livermore Wine Auction, will be held at Wente’s historic event property at 5050 Arroyo Road, on Saturday, September 29, from 5 until 8pm. This exclusive Black Tie event, now in its 24th year, features a diverse tasting of the best wines and pairings the Livermore Valley has to offer, followed by a delicious dinner and auction. You can also expect some lively bidding, fundraising and general “fun raising” in support of under-served children throughout the East Bay. The evening typically winds up in dancing and merriment. It’s a who’s who in the Valley, dressed in their finest, enjoying the magic of an evening in one of the area’s most beloved venues.
Hosted by local winemakers and the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Foundation, this year's beneficiaries include the De La Salle Academy for low-income students, the Livermore Performing Arts Center, Open Heart Kitchen, and local schools' STEAM programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). Come support this worthy goal and enjoy a festive evening with friends. Since 1995, the Auction has raised over $5 million for worthwhile local organizations.
In 2012, The Livermore Valley Winegrowers Foundation and The Wente Foundation for Arts Education began working together to present the Livermore Valley Wine Auction. The mission of The Wente Foundation for Arts Education is to raise money to support arts education programs in the Livermore Valley. This partnership enables both organizations to more effectively meet the needs of children in the East Bay. Thanks to those in both groups who work hard to put on this annual gala event dedicated to giving back to those in need
Auction Chair and Board President, Christine Wente, says, “We are very excited about the upcoming Livermore Valley Wine Auction.
