Virulent Newcastle Disease (VND) has already resulted in California quarantines and caused more than one million bird deaths this year. Officials have not seen an outbreak this concerning since 2003.
On Monday, April 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Dublin, Foster Farms and the California Poultry Federation are hosting a free, comprehensive workshop for flock owners and bird enthusiasts. Speakers – including the state veterinarian and representatives from Foster Farms, UC Davis, CAHFS, and the California Poultry Federation – will share insights on how to protect California birds.
The presentation will take place at 4120 Dublin Blvd, Dublin, Emerald Conference Room - (First Floor meeting room).
