Summer is just around the corner and everyone is invited to celebrate with the Livermore Public Library. The Civic Center Library, located at 1188 S. Livermore Ave, will be hosting Summer Fest, an all-day event with activities for all ages on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Summer Fest features an activity area with East Bay Parks, science exhibits from the Livermore Science and Society Center, a science show with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s Fun with Science, an interactive drum circle for adults, a visit from beloved children’s book characters Elephant and Piggie, a fire engine tour from the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, a hula dancing workshop, karaoke, and more.

Attendees of all ages can sign up for the Library’s Summer Reading Program to win prizes throughout the summer. Additionally, any children between the ages of 0 and 12 who attend Summer Fest can choose a free book to keep by visiting the desk in the youth room during the event.

Summer reading is for everyone at the Livermore Public Library! The 2019 Summer Reading Program has a reading game for every age. Prizes will be awarded in all games, with the goal of reading, sharing what was read, and having fun! Check the Livermore Public Library’s website for more detailed information and start playing on June 1, 2019. All programs run through August 14, 2019.
