The Bothwell Arts Center will feature the works of acclaimed local artists, including a special exhibit of works by Oneida Stowe (1944-2005), during the Annual East Bay Open Studios (EBOS) on June 22-23, 2019. A Bay Area tradition for more than 40 years, EBOS is a unique opportunity for artists, art collectors and art lovers to connect with each other in person.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Bothwell Arts Center is located at 2466 Eighth Street, Livermore. Admission is free.
Oneida Stowe was an accomplished Livermore artist and educator who taught art classes at Las Positas College for 15 years. She had many exhibitions in the Tri-Valley and throughout the US and accrued a long list of awards including Ford Foundation Scholarships, the Andrews Portrait Award from Asilomar, and first place from the Society of Western Artists. Her work is in numerous private and corporate collections and she is listed in California Art Review and American Artists. The Stowe exhibit at the Bothwell will include original and signed prints of Stowe’s watercolors, oils, acrylics and drawings. All pieces will be available for purchase.
EBOS provides visitors with a free, self-guided tour of working artists’ studios. Five artists will be hosted at the Bothwell this year including Linda Ryan, Judy Rice, Barbara Stanton, Amy Greenberg and James Bonacci. Light refreshments and live jazz music by Beat 5 will be offered during this free event.
