Red Legged Frog Production’s newest venue for concerts is the Inklings Coffee and Tea at 530 Main Street in downtown Pleasanton. The first show, on Saturday, April 28th, features the Jinx Jones Trio.
Jinx Jones plays Jazz, Blues and Rock just about every night of the week in the San Francisco Bay area. Jinx is a musician’s musician who has played with Chuck Berry, Roy Buchanan and Solomon Burke. He has earned gold and platinum record awards with R&B Divas En Vogue. Jones is bringing his Jazz Trio to Inklings on Saturday April 28. The Trio performs instrumental jazz standards from the days of Miles Davis, Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell and Thelonious Monk.

Saturday, May 12, Billy Kemp, a singer songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee, is admired by the singer and songwriter Roseanne Cash among others. "Billy Kemp, a gifted multi-instrumentalist with an impressive list of studio and road credentials, frames songs with austere and subtle acoustic arrangements built on various combinations of guitar, banjo, bass, mandolin and harmonica." Saturday, June 16, Terrence Brewer’s Acoustic Jazz Quartet, Terrence Brewer is an established guitarist. His awards include SF Weekly Music Award for Best Jazz Artist, Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Artist of the Year and the Bay Area Blues Society "Best Jazz Group" Award. When he is not touring regionally and nationally, he teaches master classes, clinics, and lectures for Stanford Jazz Workshop and SFJAZZ.
Saturday July 28, Blackie Farrell, the Songwriter’s Songwriter. Blackie Farrell might not be a household name, but among his peers he’s no unsung hero. His songs have been recorded and performed by artists ranging from Leo Kottke, Tom Russell, Robert Earl Keen, Dave Alvin and Michael Martin Murphy, to Bill Kirchen, Commander Cody, Ray Campi, Jerry Lee Lewis, Asleep at the Wheel, and Chris O’Connell.
Rance Haig, the Concert Promoter, is a Pleasanton resident who owns Red Legged Frog Productions. After retiring from a corporate career, Rance started his second career as a Concert Promoter and established Red legged Frog Productions in 2013. Since then he has produced over 20 concerts in Walnut Creek and Pleasanton.
Rance says he has always had a passion for music. When he was a teenager he went to the Monterey International Pop Festival and saw every concert which included the Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, the Who and Otis Redding just to name a few. As a college student he was the President of the Rock and Roll club at Monterey Peninsula College. He booked all the major California acts of the day, including; the Grateful Dead, Santana, Charlie Musselwhite, Taj Mahal, Elvin Bishop, Country Joe and the Fish and the Steve Miller Band.
