Tri-Valley Repertory Theatre Tells Story of Newsboy Strike in “Newsies: The Broadway Musical”

The Tri-Valley Repertory Theatre presented “Newsies: The Broadway Musical” last weekend, July 16, at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore. Based on the 1992 Disney musical about the real-life newsboy strike in New York City in 1899, the production runs through Sunday, July 31. Remaining performances are scheduled for 8 p.m., Saturday, July 23; 2 p.m., Sunday, July 24; 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., Saturday, July 30; and 2 p.m., Sunday, July 31. Tickets are $21 to $39 and available at livermorearts.org.
