Scott Gregerson, who is leaving his post at Stanford Health Care - ValleyCare Health, has been an effective president.
When he took over leadership of ValleyCare in February 2014, the hospital had lost millions of dollars over a four year period. Gregerson guided the hospital and its board through the difficult decisions needed to address the losses. He shepherded the merger of ValleyCare with Stanford Health Care that put the ValleyCare system on solid footing.
This year, Gregerson helped guide the hospital’s campaign against Livermore Measure U, which, if passed, would have hurt ValleyCare's ability to deliver services to all of its patients.
Comments about the ValleyCare system under Gregerson include the following: “Scott saved it from the brink of failure." "He has created more seamless and coordinated care for all of our patients and their families.”
We thank him for his efforts and wish him well in his future endeavors.
