Next Monday’s scheduled trial in a lawsuit aimed at returning Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory retirees to University of California healthcare programs has been postponed once again.

No new trial date is set, nor was a reason for the delay announced.

The judge in the case, Winifred Smith of Superior Court in Oakland, scheduled a May 14 case management conference, when a new trial date may be announced.

The lawsuit was first filed in 2010, and became a class action four years later.

The retirees are asking for a finding of liability and a writ of mandate that would require the University to return living retirees to its healthcare programs.

They are seeking financial damages in a separate phase of the trial.
