I have been a downtown Livermore resident for the last three years. My family has been living in Livermore for over 43 years. So, our past and future are both vested in Livermore and its growth. The current downtown plan adopted by the city council incorporates a lot of spaces and services, which will cater to a wide variety of residents and visitors, making Livermore downtown a vibrant community space for all. Most of us will use a downtown hotel for visiting family and friends; Stockmen’s Park, tribute to the history and continuing tradition of the city; Arts and Science Center, building the future citizens of Livermore; sufficient housing for young families and open spaces. I am sure these spaces in their combination will be used and enjoyed by generations! It’s a fantastic balance between history and the future of Livermore! A big “Yes” on Measure P.
