In a recent interview with Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) published in this newspaper, he mentioned his willingness to reach across the aisle in the future to address the issues at stake once Joe Biden, the Democratic nominee, is elected. I am wondering why Swalwell is willing to do that only under a Democratic president, but not under the current Republican one. He seems to ignore that he was elected to represent and work for the benefit of all the people, regardless of their party allegiance. Perhaps it is time to elect someone who is ready, able and willing to reach across the aisle regardless of what party is in power.
Utility boxes recently received fresh paint in Dublin as part of the city's public art program. Over the years, artists have added color and character to the streets, while deterring graffiti and other forms of vandalism. (Photos - Doug Jorgensen)
