Today the counties in the Bay Area decided to keep business shut and force all of us to stay at home for another month. Meanwhile, city officials in Dublin, Pleasanton and Livermore are not suffering at all. They all are getting full pay checks and giving all of us the alligator tears.
The question the nearly 40 million California residents should ask state and city managers is simple. Why are other states reopening the doors to small businesses, based on guidelines like masks, social distancing, and wash stations? Remember we are the owners of the cities and this state, not just a bunch of overpaid governmental officials.
The gun stores were reopened because that's part of our Second Amendment rights. So, let’s start this going around: The governor and city managers want you to stay at home for the next 30 days. That’s 60 days total, unless they keep it going into June. No problem. When this over, we the taxpayers should have our property taxes, sales taxes, payroll taxes and, yes, gas taxes forgiven for at least the say amount of time we were put out of work and had no income.
Think about that for just one minute before you justify this takeover of our lives.
These same people told us all just one month ago that masks would not work to stop the spread of COVID-19. Now masks are required. Another thought: I guess the coronavirus will not get you at Safeway, the banks, Starbucks, or the drive-up window at McDonalds. BS!
Dublin citizens, get out and protest this lockdown and quit being scared of these government officials. Get off
