Pleasanton Planning Commissioner Jack Balch pulled his nomination papers today, the first day available to do so, formalizing his candidacy for Pleasanton City Council in the Nov. 3, 2020 election.
“I never thought I’d be this happy to fill out paperwork, but here we are on the opening day of filing,” Balch said, “and I’m honored to be formalizing this announcement and my campaign for the city council to build on my service to this amazing community.”
Endorsed by over 200 community members — including local leaders Mayor Jerry Thorne, Vice Mayor Kathy Narum, and Councilmember Jerry Pentin — Balch is also supported by former Mayor Jennifer Hosterman, former Mayor Robert Philcox, former Councilmember Sharrell Michelotti, Pleasanton Unified School District President Steven Maher, City of Dublin Mayor David Haubert, Alameda County Sheriff Gregory Ahern, and the Northern California Carpenters Local Union 713, among others.
“I’m extremely thankful to so many in Pleasanton who have endorsed me, many of whom have worked with me over my past 11 years of service and know that I will continue to work hard for Pleasanton, listening to the issues that matter to our community and focused on finding solutions that work for us,” concluded Balch.
