Stanford Health Care – ValleyCare is now able to perform 1,200 COVID-19 tests per week at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, up from 750 per week previously.
Drive-through testing is now available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday. The testing area can be reached through Gate 12 at the fairgrounds, off Valley Avenue.
Testing is available to residents of Pleasanton, Livermore, or Dublin who meet at least one of the following criteria:
• Shortness of breath or other respiratory symptoms.
• Recent exposure to someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19.
• Fever above 100 degrees
• Other chronic diseases or conditions, such as blood disorders; kidney or liver disease; diabetes, heart, lung, or neurological disease; or compromised immune system.
• Over the age of 65.
• Pregnant or recently pregnant.
No appointment is needed, but testing will stop after the 240 per day limit is reached. All health insurance coverage will be accepted and billed, but there will be no cash-pay or out-of-pocket costs.
Test results may take up to 72 hours but may be available sooner. Those tested will need to provide a phone number or email address to receive results, which may take up to 72 hours. No one under 10 will be tested.
