Culinary Angels expects to resume delivering prepared meals to those in need in mid-May.

The Livermore-based nonprofit organization said last week that it is being allowed back into the kitchen at First Presbyterian Church. Because of the stay-at-home order issued on March 28, Culinary Angels had been limited to providing fresh produce during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Culinary Angels is asking for contributions so it can ramp up its nutrient-dense meal program for local residents with compromised immune systems, such as cancer patients, who may be unable to leave their homes. Much of the produce used by Culinary Angels is donated by the Sunflower Hill and Fertile Groundworks organic gardens. The organization has been working with the First Presbyterian Church since 2017.
