Stanford Health Care–ValleyCare is now offering drive-through testing at the Alameda County Fairgrounds for residents of Livermore, Pleasanton and Dublin who fear they may have contracted COVID-19.
No doctor’s referral or appointment is necessary, but those tested must meet at least one of several criteria, including recent exposure to a confirmed of suspected case of COVID-19; running a fever higher than 100 degrees; shortness of breath or other respiratory symptoms; suffer from a chronic disease; be 65 or older; pregnant or recently pregnant; or be homeless. No one under 10 will be tested.
Stanford Health Care said all medical insurance will be accepted and billed, and there will be on-site or out-of-pocket costs. Those tested will need to provide a phone number or email address to receive results and follow-up instructions. Test results may take up to 72 hours.
To be tested, residents should enter the fairgrounds through gate 12, off Valley Avenue in Pleasanton. Testing will take place 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, while supplies last. The site can test up to 150 people per day. If the testing site closes early, a sign will be posted at the gate 12 entrance.
