Kaiser will hold an Open House at its new Dublin Medical Offices and Cancer Center on May 11.

The Open House will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the building complex at 3100 Dublin Blvd., a little west of Fallon Road.

Doctors and other staff will be on hand to give tours of facilities and answer questions about services that will be available when the medical offices open for the first time May 20.

There will be family entertainment, including a cappella groups, and puppy snuggles. Food trucks will be on the scene.

The services at the new facility will feature the first Kaiser Permanente 24/7 Urgent Care Department in California. Thirty treatment rooms, will be provided, as well as same-day care for medical problems that are not life-threatening. Since the complex will not include a hospital, there will be no emergency room. Closest Kaiser Hospitals are located in Walnut Creek, Antioch, and Fremont.

The Cancer Center includes medical and radiation oncology, imaging services, clinical trials and counseling support.

Other specialties are offered, such as breast imaging, cardiology, general surgery and head and neck surgery, as well as an on-site pharmacy.

Kaiser chose the location to serve Dublin, but it is also centrally located just off the Fallon Road I-580 exit, providing good access from Livermore and Pleasanton.
