On March 8, the Pleasanton National Charity League (NCL) Chapter held its annual senior class recognition in the Ruby Hills Country Club.
In attendance was Cynthia Meyrath, NCL past president (2018-2019); NCL President Amirra Besh (1919-1920); and Wendy Costanzo, NCL president-elect.
Entering the Ruby Hills Country Club lobby, each girl’s senior high school framed picture was set on a stack of books. The seniors wore white and their mothers wore black. Each set approached the podium, and the mother spoke first with words of love to the daughter and then with words of wisdom quoting from a special author. The daughter responded with what her feelings were of her experiences as she worked through the community service, leadership development, and cultural experiences.
Kelly Meyrath was honored with the Senior Service Award, the Merci Award and the Hourglass Award, for completing hundreds of hours of volunteer work. The Mother-Daughter Award was presented to Amanda and Teresa Dilger, Hannah and Joan Hart, Kaitlyn Blair and Priscilla Moonsamy, and Kelly and Cynthia Meyrath for earning 25 philanthropy hours together during the 2019-2020 year.
