Tri-Valley GO (Grassroots Organizing) is organizing a voter registration drive this weekend before the deadline to register to vote, Oct 22, 2018. The two voter registration drive locations are: Pleasanton Walmart (4501 Rosewood Dr, Pleasanton) Oct 20 (Sat) & 21 (Sun) 11AM-3PM; Livermore Walmart (2700 Las Positas Rd, Livermore) Oct 19 (Fri) 11am-3pm & Oct 20 (Sat) 10am-4pm.
A paper registration form is available at libraries and post offices in Dublin, Livermore, and Pleasanton. You can check your registration at www.voterstatus.sos.ca.gov and register to vote at www.registertovote.ca.gov.
To register to vote in California, you must be: a United States citizen and a resident of California; 18 years old or older on Election Day (or 16 or 17 years old for pre-registration); not currently in state or federal prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony; not currently found mentally incompetent to vote by a court.
You need to re-register to vote when you: move to a new permanent residence; change your name; change your political party choice; have finished parole.
