The Tri-Valley Democratic Club, at their meeting on Tuesday, May 21st, endorsed Gabrielle “Gabi” Blackman, a candidate for Dublin School Board Trustee Area 4. A special election will be held June 4th.
According to a press release, "Gabrielle is a designer of award-winning facilities across the US, with an expertise in educational programming and long-term campus planning. Her Bay Area work includes Chabot College’s new Student Services Facility in Hayward, recipient of the 2012 CCSC Honor Award.
"For over 10 years she has advocated at both Dublin School Board and Dublin City Council meetings to: remedy the impact of growth on the City of Dublin, align infrastructure investment with the needs of Dublin’s schools, and demand for greater transparency in governance.”
“Gabrielle is the one candidate with extensive public-process expertise in education, which the club believes sets her apart from others. Her dedication to advocating for educational needs of children speaks to and for our progressive Democratic principles here in the Tri-Valley,” said Ellis Goldberg, President of the Tri-Valley Democratic Club. “We know Gabrielle Blackman will bring her business acumen, long-term planning vision, and depth of education expertise towards ushering in a new era of leadership as a Governing Board Member of the Dublin Unified School District. She will be a champion for education in the Tri-Valley, and we are proud to endorse and support her.”
