Ann Quam Rivenes passed away on July 9, 2020, at home in Livermore, at the age of 84.
She was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, as one of three children. While working at Boeing, she met and married her husband, Arnie Rivenes, in 1955, then went on to graduate from the University of Washington in 1957, with a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy.
Ann worked as a pharmacist in Washington for a few years before they moved to Livermore in 1959. She continued to work as a pharmacist until she retired in 1988.
Her passions were quilting and sewing, and she made many quilts that she gave to family and friends. She was an active member of the Amador Valley Quilters (AVQ) group. She also was active in book groups, stitchery, investment and gardening groups.
She enjoyed traveling, and her favorite places to go were Lake Tahoe and Mendocino with her family. Ann was a very creative, talented, strong and caring person, who treasured family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Arnie; her two children, Andy (Cathy) and Beth (David); her grandchildren, Kyle, Logan (Kristen), Spencer, and Drake (Tara); and her brother, Dick.
