Carolyn Mary Muth, 81, passed away peacefully at home in Livermore, California, on April 4, 2020, with her husband Chuck and her dogs by her side.
Carole was born in New York to Carolyn and Ernie Ferreira, the oldest of three children. She graduated from Campbell High School, in San Jose, California, and soon afterwards entered the Sisters of the Holy Family Convent. After 10 years, Carole (then Sister Angelica) left the order to pursue a career in preschool education at the Sierra school in Dublin, California, first as a teacher and then as the owner. In March 1972, she married Chuck Muth. They were married for 48 years.
In addition to her husband, Carole is survived by two sons, Curt and Craig; a brother, Ernie Ferreira; a sister, Nancy Money; and three grandchildren, Zackary, Angelina and Cody. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Oceana Muth, and Annette Velez.
Carole loved animals, especially her dogs, birds, and horses, and belonged and contributed to many animal organizations. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
