Frances Avilla

Resident of Livermore

Frances entered peacefully into rest on April 26th surrounded by family. She was 86. She was born in Escalon and later moved to the San Jose area. She enjoyed working at Los Gatos High School before moving to Livermore to live and also work at G.W. Compressor Repair with her late husband George and then at Proctor’s after retirement.

Frances traveled the world but her favorite place was surely in her rose garden, followed closely by Hawaii. Fran loved giving her time to the Livermore Chamber of Commerce, Soroptimist and Inner Wheel Clubs and enjoyed making many baskets for fundraisers.

She is survived by her Husband Al Avilla, sons Michael Holland, Patrick Holland, Mark Wiley, Aaron Wiley and daughter Marlise Mullins. She was preceded in death by her husband George R. Wiley. Fran will be remembered as a vibrant, strong and wonderful woman as well as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a great grandmother. We will never forget her beautiful smile and sense of humor. Memorial contributions made in her honor to The Alzheimer's Association or charity of your choice would make Frances smile.
