Frank Albert Sposeto – 77 of Livermore, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2016. A resident of Livermore for the past 61 years, Frank was born in Des Moines, Polk Iowa; he was the son of the late Angelo and Mary (Jaquinto) Sposeto. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Frank a graduate of Livermore High (‘58), an All-American Football Player was offered a full scholarship to Notre Dame. However, life had another plan for Frank. He enlisted in the Army, was deployed to Germany; and played for the Berlin Bombers. Upon his return from Germany, Frank worked for his father’s construction company in Oakland. He later co-founded P & F Construction. The company evolved into Vanguard Construction, a pillar of the Livermore community.
Frank, a natural born people person, and extremely generous, left an impression everywhere he went. He had a wonderful way with children, a child at heart, he could never resist the opportunity to play sports or endless games with his children and grandchildren. Frank, a serious entrepreneur, made it a point to never take life too seriously; and always had a good joke to impart on anyone that needed it. He also loved traveling the world on cruises with his wife Billie and other family members.
Most importantly to Frank family was not an important thing. It was EVERYTHING.
Frank will be dearly missed; by his wife of 44 years Billie Ann (Rieg), his brother Dominic, sons Angelo, Frank, Dominic, John Roberts, daughter Barbara Welch and 12 grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his three sisters Isabell, Frances & Kathryn.
Visitation will be held at Callaghan Mortuary, 3833 East Ave. Livermore, CA 94550, Friday, January 6th 5-7pm, Rosary to follow. Funeral at St. Michael’s Church in Livermore, Saturday, January 7th at 11am. He will be interred at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 3873 East Ave, Livermore, CA 94550. Reception to follow the ceremony at Casa Orozco, 325 L St. Livermore, CA 94550, January 7th 12:30-4pm.
