Nolan A. (Bob) Bonner

Age 86

Bob was born and raised in Waynesboro, Miss. Married his wife, Roberta Gerloff Bonner, on November 25, 1954. Served in the Navy during the Korean War from 1950-1954. Bob worked for Montgomery Wards for 30 years as an appliance repair technician. After retiring he started Bonner Appliance Repair Service doing repairs and handyman service for several years. Bob will be most remembered as an outgoing, generous, caring man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed and looked forward to his annual fishing trip with his fishing group in June every year. He loved going to Oregon and Washington to fish - especially to Oregon to fish with John Jepson, and Earl Tallman in Washington. Bets were often made on who could catch the first, most and biggest fish. Bob and Roberta enjoyed traveling together taking several trips whether by sea, air or travel trailer. He especially enjoyed their trips to Mississippi to be with his family and friends, visiting all of his siblings and his many nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Ione Oregon American Legion Post 95.

Preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Pearl Bonner; sisters Dot (Perry) Buford, Eunita (Robert) Holley, Mildred (Elmer-Ray) Jones and Demp Mills, Ouida-May (Floyd) Hollifield; brother Melvin (Muriel) Bonner; and brothers-in-law Richard Gerloff and Danny Perry.

Survived by his wife Roberta of 64 years; his two sons Randal (Janet) Bonner, and Paul (Kerri) Bonner; four grandchildren Chad (Maria) Bonner, Jessica Bonner, Kevin Bonner, and Nicole Bonner; three step-grandchildren Shane Fritz, Laura (Justin) McPherson, and Evan Windergren; great-grandson Jameson; brother Forrest (Bonnie) Bonner Clara, Miss.; two sisters-in-law Lila Perry and Sylvia Gerloff; and many nieces and nephews.

Remembrances may be made to: the American Legion Post 97, P.O. Box 384, Ione, Oregon 97843; the American Cancer Society; the American Heart Association; or to the charity of your choice.

Services will be held on Saturday, June 1, at 11 a.m., at the Old Saint Raymond Church, 6600 Donlon Way, Dublin, Calif. 94568. A celebration of life will be held immediately following at Heritage Estates, 900 E. Stanley Blvd., Livermore, Calif. 94550, in the Fireside room.
