Rolando Custodio passed away peacefully on Dec. 25, 2019. He was born on June 17, 1963, in Nalasin, Santiago, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He is survived by his brother, Patrocino Custodio, two sisters, Salvacion Buenconsejo and Evangeline Valdez, and many nieces and nephews. He loved playing basketball and doing house chores. As he grew older, he developed lots of medical issues on top of having severe Down Syndrome. He immigrated to the United States in January 2012, and was repeatedly told at multiple hospitals that he had but a short time to live. However, he received the best care at UCSF and lived until the age of 56. Throughout his life, he remained a fun and positive person. He was very friendly and caring to everyone he met. He now rests peacefully with the Lord.
There will be a viewing at St. Michael's Church, 458 Maple St, Livermore, CA, on Jan. 9, 4-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Michael's at 10 a.m. on Jan. 10th. For further information, contact St. Michael Cemetery & Funeral Center at 925 455-9696.
