Vanessa Ann Hay, 38, passed away on Jan. 6, 2020, in Livermore, California. She was born in Santa Clara on April 15, 1981, and was 22 when she moved to Livermore with the help and support of Bay Area Community Services. She was a frequent visitor to the Pleasanton Wellness Center and received support from many of its programs.
In her early years, she volunteered at the Humane Society because she loved animals. She most recently worked for Panera Bread and loved her job. Vanessa is survived by her father, James Hay; stepmother Cathi Hay; sister Amy Hay; and stepsister Darby Trulove. Despite all the hardship and suffering she endured in her life, Vanessa maintained a gentle, loving spirit towards all. Callaghan Mortuary is honored to be serving the Hay family.
