Livermore Fusion Soccer Club has been awarded a Players First license by US Club Soccer. Fusion is the city of Livermore’s only Players First club, and one of only 89 Players First clubs nationwide. A Players First license is youth soccer’s equivalent of a Good Housekeeping Seal. To earn a license, a club must demonstrate expertise in the five Players First “pillars:” Club development, coaching development, player development, parent engagement & education, and player health & safety. “It’s impressive enough that Fusion SC met the required standards to achieve Players First licensing, but we were particularly impressed with the diversity of coaching education courses that the Club’s staff has completed,” said US Club Soccer Director of Communications Tyler Heffernan. “Fusion’s coaches have been immersed in coaching methodologies from all over the world.
