2020 Pacific Coast All-Stars

The Pacific Coast All-Stars was held in Hillsboro, Oregon January 4th-5th, 2020. Top swimmers representing all-star teams from California, Oregon, and Washington competed in this meet with Pleasanton Seahawks qualifying six swimmers for the Pacific Swimming All-Star team. Pacific Swimming finished with four top awards: 1st Place Girls Team Award, 2nd Place Boys Team Award, 2nd Place Combined Team Award, and 11-12 year old Girls 400y Medley Relay new meet record. Seahawk swimmers contributed 9 individual top 3 finishes and 12 team relay top 3 finishes. Dereck Nguy swam a personal best time of 24.19 on the 50y free for a 1st Place finish. He went on to help his relay team capture 2nd Place 200y and 400y Medley Relays, 2nd Place 400y Free Relay, and 3rd Place 200y Free Relay. Natalie Mak raced to a 2nd Place finish on the 50y back and setting new personal best times of 28.18 on the 50y fly for 2nd Place and 1:02.25 on the 100y IM for 3rd Place. She helped her relay team secure two additional 2nd Place finishes on the 200y and 400y Medley Relays. Alexis Mesina won 1st Place 100y breaststroke, 2nd Place 100y IM, and 3rd Place 50y breaststroke. She also helped her relay team sweep 1st Place for the 200y Medley Relay and again, win 1st Place for the 400y Medley Relay with a time of 4:00.61 setting a new meet and Pacific Swimming Association record. Kaitlin Lee had many top 10 finishes in the individual and relay team events. Her best performance was 3rd Place 400y IM. Devyn Caples earned 1st Place 400y IM and achieved 3rd Place 200y Medley Relay. He added six more top 10 finishes. Hayden Tupper reached three top 10 finishes for individual events. His best races were with his relay teams clinching 2nd Place for both 200y and 400y Free Relays, 2nd Place 400y Medley Relay, and 3rd Place 200y Medley Relay.
