West Coast's Pre-NPL team, Krossfire, went into the May 18-19 weekend tied atop NorCal's Premier Spring League with Pleasanton Rage 06G ECNL. With 3 games left on the schedule for Krossfire and only 1 for Rage, the odds were in Krossfire's favor. The first game was, of course, against Rage. A win for Krossfire and the league championship was theirs. Krossfire would score first as Gianna Ramirez knocked in penalty kick. Rage would answer back with 2 goals of their own and go on to win 2-1.

With Rage having now completed all of their games and having a 3 point lead in league, Krossfire needed at least a win and a tie in their last 2 games to secure the top spot. On May 18, Krossfire took to the wet and soggy pitch against a tough and physical Walnut Creek 06G Blue team. Walnut Creek came out firing and took an early 1-0 lead. Krossfire answered back as Madylin Harrell hit a through ball to Gianna then to Payton Hoover who knocked in the tying goal. Hoover would add the game winner in the second half off a pass from Jasleen Gasca. Krossfire would go on to win 2-1 and once again be tied at the top with Rage.

On May 19, Krossfire would travel to Danville to take on Mustang Red 06G for their tenth and final spring league game with everything on the line. A win or tie and the league championship is theirs. Rain and wind would play a huge factor in the game as neither team was able to move the ball well. Near the end of the first half, Paige McLean hit a pass to Payten English who knocked it in to give Krossfire the 1-0 lead. Krossfire defense would hold tough the remainder of the game and take 1-0 win. This win put Krossfire up by 3 points over Rage in the league standings, locking in the league championship.

Next up for Krossfire is the West Coast Cup in Tracy and then the NorCal Premier Cross-Regional Championships June 1-2 in Davis.
